Iodine (GGC-X36)

Iodine is a rich transparent brown showing shades of amber to dark walnut depending on how thin the glass is blown. Small metallic sparkles and a hint of silver strike are also present in this color, which can result in ghostly blue highlights throughout once worked. 

Iodine is easily worked in most flame atmospheres and its neutral tone compliments many other colors in the boro palette. This color can strike darker when left in the kiln for long periods of time. This is a non-chromium sparkle color meaning it is not susceptible to checking under prolonged hot kiln cycles.
